The Austrialpin lower off D-Assym steel carabiner is a high-quality product. The EN standard 959-tested stand is made entirely of AISI 316L stainless steel. This means it can be used in all public climbing areas. In addition, the fixed D-Assym steel carabiner has a large diameter. It is also very abrasion-resistant. In short. A climbing anchor for all those who want high-quality equipment.
Because the features of the lower off are all top. Firstly, the AISI 316L stainless steel. Secondly, the EN 959 standard, which is important for climbing crag holders. Thirdly, the durable steel carabiner. Fourthly, the stand can be attached with 10mm expansion bolt.

climbing anchor Position correctly
Pay attention to the correct positioning of the Austrialpin lower off D-Assym steel carabiner. If possible, it should allow a free-hanging carabiner. Furthermore, you should avoid attaching it directly above heels. This can lead to enormous abrasion on the rope sheath.

Matching expansion bolt Austrialpin lower off D-Assym steel carabiner
The suitable expansion bolt for this climbing anchor are the 10mm Fischer FBN II bolt anchors A 4 steel. These are made of the same highly corrosion-resistant steel.
Please note the correct torque at expansion bolt. The Fischer expansion bolt 10mm has a recommendation of 25Nm!
The combination with zinc plated bolt hanger must be avoided at all costs. Likewise with normal stainless steel bolt hanger (A4 steel). This creates galvanic corrosion. Not familiar with this yet? Then read our lead article “Galvanic corrosion at expansion bolt“.
NOT suitable for bolting near the sea!
The Austrialpin lower off D-Assym steel carabiner is NOT suitable for bol ting near the sea. The AISI 316L steel does not meet the required corrosion class. This means that the lower off will not withstand extreme chemical conditions in the medium to long term. Here we clearly recommend the Fixe PLX materials from Fixe Climbing.
The following products are also perfect for bolting near the sea:
