The Stubai Rocky rock hammer is a super all-round hammer.
Firstly, at 590 grams, it has a relatively low weight. Secondly, it is very well balanced. On the one hand, it sits well in the hand. On the other hand, it has a super “pull”. It can be used both glue in bolt as well as expansion bolt perfectly.
Thirdly, the grip is properly rubberized and therefore absorbs shocks to the wrist very well. Fourthly, it has an extremely good price-performance ratio, like many Stubai Bergsport products.
In short. This hammer is our TOP recommendation for all price-conscious bolters and alpine climbers!

- Alpine climbing

- Climbing area rebolting

The hammer reaches its limits with big walls and when hammering in glue in bolt with glass mortar cartridges. Here we recommend a much heavier hammer such as the Eagle rock hammer.
Not all rock hammers are the same!
Please note when purchasing the Stubai Rock Hammer Rocky. Not all hammers are the same, i.e. the different models sometimes have very different areas of application. The Stubai Hammer is a very good all-rounder. Consequently, you can do little wrong with it.
We have already mentioned the two areas of application for which the product is NOT recommended. Big wall climbing and hammering in glue in bolt with glass mortar cartridges. Heavy, powerful hammers are needed here. Like the Edelrid Hudson or BD Yosemite hammer.
Small and very light hammers, on the other hand, are perhaps very handy for alpine climbing. Such as the Thunder rock hammer from Climbing Technology. However, they are often not the best for bolting or cleaning rocks. This is where the Cassin Brenta rock hammer comes into its own.
You should therefore think carefully about what you intend to do when buying a rock hammer. It’s worth it!
With the Stubai Rocky rock hammer you get a super affordable all-rounder that is definitely worth the money!
