Climbing equipment – check regularly
Your gear must be 100% safe. Because your life depends on it!
Therefore, please check your climbing equipment regularly to ensure that it is in good working order, such as carabiners, belay devices or via ferrata sets.
You must also check your climbing equipment for damage. Does your harness have above-average signs of wear? Is the via ferrata set still in perfect condition or is the shock absorber already slightly torn? Does the sheath of the climbing rope have any damage? Are your webbing slings possibly damaged?
If in doubt, we strongly advise you to replace this part of your climbing equipment. The cost of a few new slings, for example, is out of all proportion to the potential damage you could suffer!
