Raumer is a traditional manufacturer of bolting hardware. It is located in Santorso, in the northern district of Vicenza in the province of Veneto.

It was founded in 1992 by Cesare Raumer. As a passionate speleologist, he recognized a major gap in the market at the time. Namely, the production of specific bolting materials for very specific requirements. At that time, there were only a few standard models from very few manufacturers. Such as glue in bolt or bolt hanger.

Over time, the very small business developed into a company with 12 employees. The product portfolio also grew steadily. Initially, climbing anchors and expansion bolt were added. Later, materials for via ferrata construction and alpine trail building were also added.

Due to his age, the founder sold his company to Vertical Evolution in 2023. Since then, the “small” competitor has continued the fortunes of the traditional brand.

The quantity limits for large orders are as follows:

Climbing anchors: from 20 pieces

glue in bolt: from 250 pieces

bolt hanger: from 250 pieces

Please note! Large orders require a certain lead time. Standard items are usually available in 1-2 weeks. Depending on the item and quantity, however, the delivery time can also be 4-8 weeks.
Raumer steel qualities
This manufacturer offers four steel grades in its portfolio.
Zinc plated steel
Ideal for temporary anchoring or low budget developments. This grade of steel is the poorest of all available options.
AISI 304L steel
Raumer continues to offer an inexpensive stainless steel (A2 steel) solution for the inner-Alpine region. Approx. 20% cheaper than the next higher grade AISI 316L. Our recommendation for development in the mountains.
AISI 316L steel
The highest stainless steel category (A4 steel). Ideal for climbing area construction and climbing area rebolting in inner-alpine areas.

Our recommendation if you are opening an official climbing area or simply want to bolt a high-quality climbing route.
AISI 316L – Marine Line
Extra strongly passivated bolting materials. Raumer products are not only washed with acid, as is usually the case. They are also immersed in acid baths several times for 24 hours.

This creates a thick layer of chromium dioxide. A relatively strong protection for this steel quality against corrosion, e.g. near the sea.
