Raumer bolt hanger Wing with ring – AISI 316L

The Raumer bolt hanger Wing with ring is one of the top sellers in our online store. It is particularly popular with cavers. There is of course a reason for this. Firstly, the lanyard is made of highly corrosion-resistant AISI 316L steel. Secondly, the bolt hanger is available with 8mm, 10mm and 12mm holes. Speleologists almost exclusively buy the 8mm version. Thirdly, a 10mm ring is permanently attached. This makes the lanyard the perfect abseiling point. In short: a super bolt hanger with ring for caving.

The strap with ring is not ideal for climbing. Because you cannot secure the bolt hanger with a piece of rope or chain. Please bear this in mind. We recommend the Fixe Climbing 10mm PLX bolt hanger with ring. This model has enough free space for redundant belaying.

This bolt hanger with ring is particularly popular with cavers. We sell around 30% 8mm and 70% 10mm models. The 8mm version is naturally smaller expansion bolt. Smaller expansion bolt means less expenditure on the one hand. And on the other hand, less battery consumption.

It should be noted here that the 8mm Raumer bolt hanger Wing does not meet any EN standard. However, Raumer has a breaking load of 22kN radial / 20kn axial. This means that the product can withstand far more than the maximum forces occurring in speleology. Consequently, the Wing strap can be classified as absolutely safe.

The 10mm and 12mm versions have an EN 959 and EN 795 standard respectively!

The integrated ring eliminates the need for a screw link- quick link.

Avoid galvanic corrosion

Only A4 steel quick links may be screwed into the Raumer bolt hanger Wing with ring. Zinc plated screw links lead to galvanic corrosion of the base metal. Therefore, make sure you use the correct steel quality when fitting.
