Our glue in bolt with 2 rings is a classic abseil point. It is also known as the “Bühler hook with 2 rings”. It is a 10 x 100m, 10 x 120mm or 12 x 150mm hook with two welded rings. The rings themselves are 10mm thick and have an inner diameter of 30mm. The steel quality is high-quality AISI 316L stainless steel.
For redundant attachment, you should always glue in two of these hooks. They should be approx. 30 cm above each other and offset by approx. 5 – 10 cm. Only the upper ring is loaded.
The double passivation makes this composite hook extremely durable. Correctly glued in, it should last for many decades.

Why Bühler hooks with two rings?
Our glue in bolt with 2 rings has a decisive advantage over a glue in bolt with a ring. The lower ring is at 90° to the rock surface. Or to put it better. It is “free”. This means that the rope can be pulled off much more easily than with a hook where the ring lies flat on the rock.
Firstly, this prevents the climbing rope from “jamming”. And secondly, this significantly reduces frictional resistance.
Double passivation of the glue in bolt with 2 rings
What sets this hook apart is its extremely long service life. Thanks to two different acid baths, it has an extra thick passivation layer. This means particularly good corrosion protection.
We offer this feature free of charge. Other manufacturers call this treatment Marine Line, for example, and charge around 20-30% extra for it.
Thanks to this extra protection, the service life of this product in the Alpine region is around 30-50 years.
Correct installation
Note the installation in pairs to create redundancy. To do this, glue the two glue in bolt with 2 rings approx. 30 cm above each other and offset by approx. 5 – 10 cm. To avoid damaging the passivation layer, we recommend doing this by hand or injection mortar. We do not recommend hammering in with a glass mortar cartridge.

Different dimensions for different rock types
This hook is available in three dimensions. This means you can cover all types of rock perfectly. The 10 x 100mm version is ideal for solid rock such as granite. The 10 x 120mm version is ideal for limestone and the 12 x 150mm is bomber in soft sandstone.
