Our 10mm thick U glue in bolt made of AISI 316L stainless steel is designed as a single abseil point in solid rock. For example, when canyoning or in alpine terrain. There are two shaft lengths of 80mm and 150mm. The eyelet is 35 x 40mm in size.
The “Longlife” double passivation ensures increased corrosion protection and a long service life.
Description
Our U glue in bolt is a special product. The U-shape means that the hook is glued in on both sides. Provided the rock is solid, this enables a wide range of applications.

We offer two dimensions of this glue in bolt. Firstly, with an embedment depth of the grooved shanks of 80mm for very hard rocks such as granite. And secondly 150mm for soft rock types such as limestone, conglomerate or sandstone.
However, this results in a eyelet height of 40 mm and a depth of approx. 35 mm. Enough space to accommodate several climbing carabiners and a climbing rope underneath.
The AISI 316L stainless steel ensures a long service life thanks to the double “Longlife” passivation.

Double passivation
This U glue in bolt is double passivated. This means that a double acid bath has provided an extra thick chromium oxide layer and thus corrosion protection.
This is very important, for example, in very damp environments such as canyoning. This is because the presence of water = electrolyte often leads to faster corrosion.
The advantage of this glue in bolt is also that there can be no galvanic corrosion. This is because only one component of the same steel quality is used!
Reasonable eyelet size
If this hook is glued in properly, the eyelet is approx. 40 mm high and 30 mm deep. Plenty of space to attach several carabiners and a climbing rope.
