Our bolt hanger abseil slope is a special product. This lanyard is intended for the installation of abseil slopes. For this purpose, the lug is attached redundantly in pairs and in series with the desired expansion bolt. I.e. horizontally and vertically slightly offset.
The lug is made of AISI 316L stainless steel and has a 10 mm hole. On the other hand, two rings with a weld seam are integrated. These are 10 mm thick and have an internal diameter of 32 mm.
In short. If you want to set up an abseiling slope, this is the perfect solution!

Longlife = double passivated!
Our bolt hanger abseil slope is a quality product from our partner Vertical Evolution. Consequently, this product is double passivated as standard. This means that it is immersed twice in an acid bath. This creates an extra thick passivation layer of chromium oxide. This means that “rust” in the Alpine region has no chance here for 50 years +.
In short. Here you get a “Longlife” lug that lasts far longer than a conventional AISI 316L lug!
Why bolt hanger abseil slope instead of a stand?
This tab fitted in pairs can have some advantages over a climbing anchor have. For example, if the rock is not so good and the anchor points need to be placed further apart. For this you should read our article “What do expansion bolt hold?”.
Weight can also be an issue in alpine terrain. And finally, the lower ring here is at 90° to the rock, which enables friction-free rope removal!

Please note! When fitted in series, only the top ring is subjected to load. This means that it could become worn over the years. Then you can simply swap the bolt hanger on the abseil slope and have a perfect ring in the upper fixed point again.
