This stainless steel round steel chain standardized is intended for fixing with Rapid screw links. You can use 7mm, 8mm or 10mm quick links.
The steel chain is made of AISI 316 / A4 steel. As a result, it fits perfectly with all standard lower off climbing anchors made from this steel quality. With a length of 20cm, we take into account the tear-out cone for 9cm long expansion bolt. We calculate: 20cm chain plus two quick links = at least 27cm!
You can find more information on the tear-out cone in our technical article“What do expansion bolt hold?”

Avoid galvanic corrosion
The standardized stainless steel round link chain is made of AISI 316 steel. I.e. A4 steel. Consequently, suitable screw links made of A4 / AISI 316L must be added to avoid galvanic corrosion (contact corrosion).
This is because combining precious and non-precious components causes this undesirable type of “rusting”.
For more information, read our technical article“Galvanic corrosion at expansion bolt“.
Stainless steel round steel chain Stand renovation standardized correct storage
Store this steel chain dry and separate from other steel parts. Also make sure to include information that the chain is made of A4 steel. This is the only way to know which steel quality can be used for a long time afterwards.
