Fixed 1 bolt hanger 10mm – AISI 316L

The Fixe 1 bolt hanger 10mm – AISI 316L is the latest product from the Spanish hardware specialist. The latch has been given a major facelift compared to the older models. The following changes have been made.

Firstly, the bolt hanger is once again made of AISI 316L or A4 steel. The fixed PLX duplex steel therefore seems to be history.

Secondly, the thickness of the steel plate has changed. This is because the new thickness of the bracket is 3.5 mm. Thirdly, the weight has also changed. The lug is now 20% lighter. This means it now only weighs 54 grams. This means that it is once again a candidate to take with you when bolting a climbing route with expansion bolt in alpine terrain.

Fourthly, the new geometry is a success. According to the manufacturer, it is the best on the market. We will see if this proves to be true.

Fifthly, there are the three fixing studs on the back. They are supposed to give the flap “enormous stability”. If so, it would be ideal for climbing area construction or climbing area rebolting.

Matching expansion bolt

The suitable expansion bolt for the Fixe 1 bolt hanger 10mm – AISI 316L are the 10mm Fischer heavy-duty anchors FBN II 10/10 A4 or 10mm Fischer expansion bolt FAZ (recommended for porous lime or in roofs!).

Fixed 1 bolt hanger 10mm – AISI 316L & bolting near the sea!

We do not recommend this bracket for bolting near the sea. This is because A4 steel does not meet the required corrosion class. To withstand the extreme chemical conditions in the medium to long term, products made of duplex steel are required as a minimum.
