The Yosemite Hammer is THE ultra-classic among rock hammers. In fact, this Black Diamond rock hammer has remained unchanged since 1966, when it was personally manufactured by company founder Yvonne Choinard. It was made for the granite walls and extremely hard demands of the Yosemite Valley.

Attachment to the belt

We know from our own experience. Every rock hammer needs to be stowed well on the harness. The Yosemite hammer is no exception.

It is best to attach the Black Diamond rock hammer to the harness with a gear carabiner. For example, the CT Hammer Lodge, the Edelrid material carabiner SM Clip L 3R or the Petzl Caritool material carabiner.
