Our 8mm glue in bolt made of AISI 316L stainless steel is a great alternative for alpine terrain. Thanks to the narrow 8mm diameter, you only need a 10mm drilling hole. With a shank length of 100mm, the composite hook is also perfect for sticking into soft rock such as limestone.
Like all stainless steel products from Vertical Evolution, this model is also double passivated. This means an extra thick chromium oxide layer called “Longlife” ensures increased corrosion protection and an extra long service life.

injection mortar recommended
We strongly recommend gluing in the 8mm glue in bolt with injection mortar. This is because the soft mortar has countless advantages over glass mortar cartridges.
Firstly, the amount of adhesive can be freely selected. Secondly, the composite hook can then be loosely “pushed in” instead of being hammered in. And thirdly injection mortar less susceptible to porous rock. The pores in glass mortar cartridges often absorb a lot of liquid, which immediately makes the adhesive hard and unusable for hammering in the hooks.
If glass mortar cartridges, then…
… we recommend cooling them on the one hand. The colder the 8mm glue in bolt, glass mortar cartridges and rock are, the better, so it is better to work in the shade, for example.
And secondly, it is better to pour a little water into the cleaned drilling hole. This closes the pores and makes it much easier to hammer in. The right mortar cartridge would be the Fischer RM 10.
