The abseil anchor must be connected “in series”. This means that the two fixed points are only slightly offset horizontally. Vertically, however, they are strongly offset without fully tensioning the chain. Ensure the correct spacing of the expansion bolt of at least 3 x the anchoring depth (tear-out cone expansion bolt!).

Use the appropriate expansion bolt

The Raumer climbing anchor expansion bolt with 1 ring is made of AISI 316L steel. Consequently, for the installation of the stand you must use 10mm expansion bolt of A4 steel (AISI 316 / 316L) must be used to install the stand. This avoids galvanic corrosion at expansion bolt. This occurs when fixing to zinc plated expansion bolt. This must be avoided at all costs.

Observe borehole cleaning
