Our Kong Quick Link D is THE quick link for attaching multiple tools to one anchor point. For example, from a single rope loop to a belay device, a lanyard and a fall arrest system. It is also used in mountain rescue and cave rescue.
The product advantages of the Quick Link are manifold. Firstly, the product complies with EN standard 12275 and EN standard 362. Secondly, the breaking load is very high at 40 kN / 10 kN and 60 kN / 20 kN. Thirdly, it can be used perfectly in many situations. Fourthly, we offer the product in zinc plated steel or in an aluminum alloy. The two variants differ greatly in weight. Aluminum is 65% lighter.

- Hooking several carabiners downwards from a wide component
- for the fixed connection of gear for work at heights

Watch out for galvanic corrosion!
Anyone installing a Kong Quick Link D fix must pay attention to galvanic corrosion! This means that you must not hang this stainless steel product in a zinc plated steel fixed point. This will lead to corrosion of the fixed point over time.
Please always combine zinc-plated components with other zinc-plated components such as bolt hanger combine. If the fixed point is made of zinc plated steel, you must use a link with the same steel quality. This is the only way to ensure long-term durability. I.e. for many years.

Problematic DIY store screw links
Unfortunately, non-standardized products from the DIY market keep turning up at abseiling points. Watch out! These can be life-threatening. The breaking loads are often only a few hundred kilos. Consequently, these links do not meet any standards.
Only use standardized products such as the Kong Quick Link D. They are clearly recognizable by the markings on the side. Only standardized material should be used in the above-mentioned areas.
screw link Note types!
There are many different models of quick links. The shape of the Kong Quick Link D is a D-shape. It is mainly used for vertical force transmission from narrow to wide components or gear. For example, from a rope loop to many different tools.
Depending on the intended use, these shapes may also be more suitable:
- D-shaped: for attaching several securing points as with the work at heights
- Triangular: to transfer loads from a small attachment point to a slackline, for example
- rectangular: for lifting work such as connecting sling to sling
- pear-shaped: on the one hand where large screw openings are required or wide components are to be suspended on the other hand
- oval: classic design for all vertical force transmissions
Practice tip
Anyone who uses a Kong Quick Link D regularly should maintain it. Yes, exactly! W A R T E N! This can be the case with work at heights, for example. Here you have to hang the link in and out of the harness or rigging plate again and again. This means that you are well advised to lubricate it with a climbing equipment care oil. This means that the screw lock can still be operated easily!
