The Medium Hardened Knifeblades from Kop de Gas are so-called “knifeblade”. This means they are ideal for the thinnest cracks.
As the name suggests, they are made of a medium-hard steel alloy.
They are therefore ideal for limestone. This is because there tend to be irregular cracks and fissures here. The metal should be able to bend more for this. And this is exactly what these piton do.
The sharp point is also ideal for “setting”. The 3 mm thick hook can then be hammered in perfectly.
In short. These hooks are perfect where there is no micro nuts in the limestone.
