Camp Anello Fisso piton

The Camp Anello Fisso piton is a classic normal hook made from mild steel. This means that it is particularly suitable for limestone rock such as in the Dolomites or the northern limestone Alps. This is because it can bend very well due to the relatively soft steel. This means that it can also be driven into very uneven cracks, crevices and holes.

This piton is available in four lengths. Firstly with a length of 10cm (shaft length 6cm). Secondly with a length of 12cm (shaft length 8cm). These two models have a shaft thickness of 7mm. Camp Anello Fisso piton = carbon steel

This standard hook is a so-called “mild steel hook”. You can recognize it immediately by its light, silvery color.

Carbon steel has the advantage over the much harder chrome-molybdenum hooks that it is still easy to bend. This makes this steel much more suitable for limestone.
