The Climbing Technology HCR bolting pack is perfect for bolting near the sea. It consists of 20 pieces of 12mm expansion bolt or 12mm bolt hanger. The set features AISI 904L steel, currently the highest steel quality at expansion bolt and glue in bolt . And secondly, it is extremely corrosion-resistant.
HCR drilling pack
CT is one of the very few producers with HCR steel products in its range. This is because, firstly, manufacturing the products is complex. And secondly, AISI 904L steel is very expensive. As THE bolting expert in the Alpine region, we naturally also have an inexpensive HCR bolting pack in our range. It consists of the 12mm HCR expansion bolt or the matching 12mm HCR bolt hanger.

Borehole cleaning
When setting expansion bolt, make sure that the drill hole is clean. Firstly, clean the hole with a drilling hole blower. Secondly, clean out the drilling dust with a Fischer brush or Fischer hole brush. Thirdly, blow out again. Done!
Further material options
The Climbing Technology HCR drilling pack has its (proud) price. If you want to bolting near the sea, Fixe PLX – Duplex steel is an affordable alternative. On the one hand, this steel from Fixe Climbing is one quality level below HCR steel. However, PLX steel is also very resistant to corrosion at a much lower price.
Only titanium has better corrosion resistance than HCR steel. Our range includes titanium glue in bolt from Vertical Evolution. This material is the non-plus-ultra when it comes to climbing routes by the sea. HCR and titanium glue in bolt must also be processed with a suitable injection mortar be processed. We recommend the injection mortar Fischer FIS AB 300 T.
