Our double abseil ring is a really great thing. This is because the ring duo can be used with a screw link rapid link both in bolt hanger as well as glue in bolt attached.
This means you have a lot of flexibility for retrofitting existing lower off climbing anchors. The double rings can also be used for other applications. For example, for slacklines and for suspending permanently and slightly rotating loads.
Properties of double abseil ring

- Material: AISI 316L steel
- Shape: round
- Diameter material: 10mm
- Inner diameter of the rings: 32mm each
- Welding process: TIG
- breaking load: 23kN
Double abseil ring – for “tricky” abseiling points
This ring duo is perfect for “tricky” abseiling sections. I.e. all those abseil sections where ropes tend to be difficult to pull off. For example, when the lower off-climbing anchor is on a ledge.
The double rings then ensure significantly less friction than a single ring. In addition, the lower ring is then usually 90° to the rock or completely free in the air.
Select a suitable quick link
Our double abseil ring is made of AISI 316L stainless steel. Consequently, you also need stainless steel quick links for assembly. Otherwise there will be “galvanic corrosion”.
Does this term mean nothing to you? Then read our technical article“Galvanic corrosion at expansion bolt” in our bolting blog!
Double abseil ring – no significant abrasion
Rings have several advantages over quick links. Firstly, they are usually thicker at 10 mm. Secondly, they are round. This means that they rotate permanently and cannot be rubbed off at a single point.
Thirdly, double rings offer a high degree of freedom of movement, or in other words. The rings can be moved inside each other, allowing the lower ring to be ideally aligned when the rope is pulled off.
As a result, there is less friction and the rope can be pulled off much faster!
Carefully manufactured and tested
Our double abseil ring is carefully produced in the Dolomites and individually tested.
The TIG process is used by a certified welder. This means that only equivalent stainless steel material is used. The rings have also been tested in-house with 23kN.
