The bolt hanger with ring zinc plated “Infinity” is a perfect abseil point. This lanyard is particularly popular with speleologists and those establishing a climbing route.
Firstly, it has an extremely affordable price. High quality AISI 316L steel. Secondly, it has a permanently welded ring. Thirdly, three diameters are available. 8mm, 10mm and 12mm.
Speleologists really appreciate the 8mm version. This is because it saves weight thanks to smaller drill bits, less battery consumption and lighter 8mm expansion bolt. In the climbing sector, 10mm is common. Here the lugs are usually attached in pairs slightly offset at abseiling points. The 12mm version is used for building short rope railings, slacklines or mountain rescue operations.
And fourthly, the special design allows redundant belaying. There is enough space in the carabiner eyelet for a quick link or a piece of rope or cordalette.

Areas of application Bolt hanger with ring zinc plated Infinity
This latch is perfect for all situations where the carabiner is to stand at right angles to the rock. In other words, it should be brought into a position where it stands freely away from the rock. This means that ropes, slings, loads etc. can be hooked in perfectly.
Consequently, typical areas of application are:
- Abseiling points
- Belay stations for fixed ropes
- Stands for mountain rescue operations
- Attachment points for work at heights
- Fixed points for slacklining
- Speleology
Prevents galvanic corrosion
Using precious and non-precious materials together causes galvanic corrosion. For this reason, you may only use zinc-plated bolts for the bolt hanger with Ring Infinity. And on the other hand, no stainless steel screw links for redundant belaying. Over time, this will lead to “rusting” of the zinc-plated component.

Zinc plated materials
The service life of the bolt hanger with ring zinc plated is relatively short. If you want to bolt a climbing route, please take this into account. This is because the necessary renovations have a negative impact on the rock. For example, visually due to the many bolts that have been hammered in. On the other hand, the respective fixed point also costs more in total. This is because from the 1st climbing area rebolting at the latest, the overall effort is more expensive than a stainless steel product installed in the same way. We do not allow ourselves to make ethical judgments about what is good and bad. From a technical point of view, however, stainless steel products are clearly preferable if you want to set up a climbing route with expansion bolt .
